A message from the Provost
As Kentucky State University’s students, faculty and staff progress toward renewed excellence and move forward in the 21st century, hopefully, we will consider the four agreements identified by Ruiz (1997), which follow:
“Be impeccable with your word,
Don’t take anything personally,
Don’t make assumptions,
Always do your best.”
In trying to always do our best we are admonished to think before we act. When we think we use our minds, the most complex and marvelous tool ever created. Our mind influences everything we do.
The quality of a person’s life is in direct proportion to their commitment to excellence in their chosen field. To maintain excellence we must continue to care, try to do our best and work together. Kentucky State University is our academic home. Consequently, it is a place where we, as workers and learners, can give of ourselves and do all we can to make it a pleasant and secure place where each of us can contribute to its excellence as an institution of higher learning.
